| Jason Lingel Westside Christian Fellowship Non – Denominational Christian Contemporary jasonl@rand.org |
||||
| Born
from the alternative rock scene of Seattle, Washington during the “grunge”
era, singer/songwriter Jason Lingel finds himself writing in both the
genre of the alt. rock songs that were his roots as well as the worship
songs that are the in-working of what God has been doing in his life
for the last 15 years. “I used to hate worship songs, but I write
them now. It’s a testament to how God continually works in us,
molding and changing who we are to serve His purpose.” |

No, you never will escape yourself/You may as well pay attention/You’ll be alright, take the time to look inside/You’ll find what you’re made of.” And so goes the title track’s chorus of Janine Stange’s (STANG: like Mustang) latest CD release that she co-wrote with producer Tim Miner. Pay Attention. (Yes, do that.) In a day where many are trying to become who they aren’t rather than be who they are, Janine decidedly douses thirsty ears with waves of truth |

Eddie K. Metro Calvary Chapel Non Denominational Rock & Roll myspace.com/eddiekmusic www.eddiekmusic.com |

His first instrument was the ukulele. This was appropriate for a boy of Hawaiian blood. Soon he learned a few chords on the guitar. At the time he was attending a small church that sang songs accompanied only by a tamborine. The pastor asked him to bring his guitar and play when they sang. Only knowing 3 chords and knowing nothing about music theory, Eddie sat there on the stage plucking away on his guitar for months, trying to figure out how to play the songs. When those months were through, Eddie not only learned how to play the songs, but he'd discovered music theory, which he would use for the rest of his musical career. He then began playing and singing for churches and small groups. Throughout this time, he began to write music of his own, music that spoke his own heart. Eddie's songs speak on an emotional, intellectual and spiritual level, and having a multi-ethnic background, he is influenced by many genres of music, including hip-hop, reggae, rock and pop. On the side, Eddie also pursues an acting career and does various modeling work. He hopes that his music will inspire and touch the soul of each person who hears it. "Hope you like my music!" |

| Since its founding in 2002, Schola Angelica has tried to stay in tune with its mission: to glorify God and edify the faithful by singing the traditional sacred music, especially Gregorian Chant, of the New Latin Rite (Novus Ordo) in the liturgies of the Roman Catholic Church. Schola Angelica is an all-volunteer choir based in Los Angeles , California under the direction of Theresa M. Decker. Schola Angelica is not associated with any particular parish, but provides music for feast days and solemn liturgies by special arrangement. The Schola has sung at Ss Peter and Paul in Wilmington , St. Andrew in Pasadena , and, on five occasions, at the new Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles. Theresa M. Decker studied chant with Prof. Richard Crocker at Berkeley and with Prof. William Mahrt (Stanford). She has sung chant in Spanish (in Mexico ), in French (with the LA-based Aumonorie Francophone ), and occasionally in English, but prefers to sing and direct Gregorian Chant in the original Latin. “We sing chant because it’s beautiful and because we love to sing,” is her motto. Mrs. Decker lives with her husband and their four young children in Los Angeles. |

| A Voice That Must Be Heard : “So Blessed” Donna “McAfee’s astonishing voice …has to be heard to be believed,” commented Don Heckman in a special review to The L.A. Times. And in an earlier review, “McAfee’s almost impossibly high soprano had the sweet embracing quality of a lead voice in an angelic choir.” Yet her powerful 4-octave range, which clearly bears witness to extensive training and experience, is only a part of what draws Donna’s fans t her shows, again and again. Donna’s real captivating force is her transparent soul, delivering with passion, exuberant joy and tenderness, songs that songs that speak to us about life: her life and our own. A seasoned professional, Donna has traversed the pathway from being a scared young girl in the midst of adolescent angst to a young woman of fortitude, great faith and compassion. The path she has taken includes a multitude of successes: sharing the stage with such legends as Natalie Cole, Al Green, Andraè Crouch, Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, and Andy Williams. She has performed for President Reagan, Trinity Broadcast Network and the Chicago Bulls. She has toured in most of the major cities of the United States. She has recorded solo projects internationally. She has received numerous awards and most recently a 1999 CARA nomination as a songwriter. In June 2000, the made for TV movie “Something To Sing About” will air and Donna is featured on the title track. Host & Producer of West Coast Praze TV show, 2003 Best Live Gospel Performance by a Female Award from the Los Angeles Black Music Association, prestigious Command Performance for President Ronald Reagan, and many international television, radio, and feature film credits and awards. |
