Church
choirs are alive and well, but do we sometimes lose
focus?
Do we go from week to week forgetting to pray ourselves?
We’ll look at ways of igniting our choirs with
passion through prayer and music.
If we truly are to lead music for worship and liturgy,
we must first be passionate about our prayer.
Then, and only then will our choirs be able to roll
away the stone!

What do
we have to do to get our teenagers to go to church,
much less participate?! Not much.
Allowing them room to explore their faith can often
be best. As passionate leaders we must be diligent
in uncovering the hidden talents of our youth.
This workshop will give insight into how we can nurture
their deepening faith by allowing them to grow in
the process with music.
Take a look through that invisible barrier between
adults and teenagers, and see Christ’s music
transcend. |

| In
every classification of the human voice, there are
coordinations of sound and pitch called “bridges”.
Sometimes they can be the hardest things to accomplish
properly. We are going to examine these “pesky
places”, and explore pedagogical ways to make
them easier and useful. The outcome from this knowledge
would;
1) make your words more intelligible,
2) extend your vocal range,
3) eliminate cracking and strain,
4) elongate your “singing” years and
5) allow you to concentrate on His praise without
fear of a vocal, mechanical breakdown.
This method has supported Grammy Winners, leads
on Broadway, and opera stars! Great for public speakers/lectors
too! |

Come and learn from this Grammy award winning arranger
& fellow music minister, ways of getting the most
out of what you already have.
Orchestration, counterpoint and arranging techniques
from simple vocal accompaniment to large orchestras
will be discussed. |
