The
primary purpose of preachers is to proclaim the exciting
adventure of knowing Christ. To tell the Good News
to all the world with passion! But to do this we must
proclaim the Word as a dying man preaches to dying
men and women, as if never to preach again. Wow! Great
for public speaking/lectors too!
|
|
The words
and music we give our children to sing are crucial
in helping them discover a love for God.
These are the songs that will stay with them through
life. What should we be using in church, classroom
and home to help our children in their faith journey?
We will sing music for formal and informal times,
for Church celebrations and at bedtime, as well as
look at the importance of crossover music with the
adult assembly. |

| In
every classification of the human voice, there are
coordinations of sound and pitch called “bridges”.
Sometimes they can be the hardest things to accomplish
properly. We are going to examine these “pesky
places”, and explore pedagogical ways to make
them easier and useful. The outcome from this knowledge
would;
1) make your words more intelligible,
2) extend your vocal range,
3) eliminate cracking and strain,
4) elongate your “singing” years and
5) allow you to concentrate on His praise without
fear of a vocal, mechanical breakdown.
This method has supported Grammy Winners, leads
on Broadway, and opera stars! Great for public speakers/lectors
too! |
|
The
very task of standing before a church and directing
singing involves theological, technical and emotional
aspects.
A song leader or cantor must understand the dynamics
involved when standing before a church and communicating
with the congregation.
The use of one’s voice, the process of planning
and the ability to work with people are just a few
of the areas we’ll address.
Come ready to sing! |

| The
1st role of a worship leader is Worshiper, the 2nd
is Servant. Jesus tells us…”but whoever
desires to be great among you, let him be your servant.”
(Mathew 20:26) Again he say’s…”But
he who is greatest among you shall be your servant”
(Mathew 23;11)
The goal of every worship leader, liturgical &
music director should be to make the job of those
who labor with him/her as easy as possible. He/She
should make it a priority to see that each team member
has the tools they need to perform their ministry
well. We’ll explore the many aspects of leading
worship.
From small church to mega church.
